After many rounds of goodbyes to friends and family I headed off on a long trek to New Zealand with two friends and classmates in my program at the University of Guelph, Alison and Emily. The three of us decided to backpack New Zealand together and see all that we could see before I settle into the little town of Lincoln where I will be doing one semester of school and they head off for Australia together to study at the University of Adelaide. Three flights and around 32 hours later we set foot in Christchurch, New Zealand.
